Growing up in Tamworth, NSW, Chuck Bailey had a passion for science. He moved to Sydney, earned a PhD in Biopharmaceutical Research, and now, with 24 years of expertise, leads groundbreaking genetic research at the Centenary Institute.
A husband and father of three, Chuck commutes from Bowral, dedicating his career to gene therapy—targeting rare diseases, including haemophilia, retinal blindness, and spinal muscular atrophy. His work lays the foundation for life-saving treatments, but without funding, progress halts.
